Flickerfest Awards Announced at Closing Night this Sunday

Filmmakers are vying for a share of cash and other prestigious industry prizes including the Jameson Short Film Award valued at 6,000 euros (approximately $10,000), which is recognised as one of the most valuable prizes for a short film internationally and will be the largest ever given to a short film within an Australian film festival. The Jameson Short Film Award is being awarded for the first time ever in Australia.
Other Australian Awards being announced include the following:-
ß Icebergs Dining Room & Bar for Best Direction in an Australian Short Film
ß SBS Television Award
ß Kodak Entertainment Imaging Award for Best Cinematography in an Australian Short Film
ß Film Support Award for Most Resourceful Production
ß Avid Australia Award for Best Editing in an Australian Short Film
ß Best Achievement in an Original Screenplay
ß Highly Commended Award for Best Documentary
ß Audioloc Sound Design Award for Best Achievement in Sound
ß Flickerfest IF Media Award for Most Popular Film
International Awards include the Coopers Award for Best Film and the Yoram Gross Award for Best Animation where winners of these two awards receive automatic entry into the shortlist for an Oscar nomination. Additional International Awards include the National Geographic Award for Best Documentary, Fujifilm Special Jury Prize and the Miller Tripod Australia Award for Best Cinematography
